Sapna comes from Rohtak, Haryana. She started singing and dancing post demise of her father when she was only 12.

For a few days, the rumours of Sapna joining the Congress has been making round the corners. Also, Congress sources had said that she joined the party on an assurance of a ticket from Mathura. While she said, “The photograph with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra that is being shared on social media is old. I am not going to campaign for any political party.”

She added, “I meet with people of all parties and I am an artist. I am not joining politics. When I will join politics, I will come out in the open.”
