Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Azure Entertainment produced a revenge thriller movie starring Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu which hit the theatres on march 8, 2019. The Sujoy Ghosh directed movie did well both at the box office and at the critics’ front. The Spanish movie, ‘The Invisible Guest’ remake is doing well even on the weekdays with a total box office collection of 70 crores across the weeks. This has passed by the collections of the critic acclaimed movie‘pink’. The star producer King Khan took to Twitter to extend his gratitude to masses for the success of the movie.

Amidst the race is the film Luka Chuppi. The film starring Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon is a romantic comedy. Though the film did not bag good reviews from the critics, it is doing well by word of mouth. Though the numbers are dwindling by the weeks, it crossed 85 crores so far. The huge fan following of the star duo has a part to do in the business of this movie.

Another movie from the same genre as Luka Chuppi is the Total Dhamaal. This movie is the third part of the Dhamaal franchise. The movie,starring Ajay devgn, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit released on 22 february,2019.it was also a disappointment to the critics but is doing well in the masses.  Despite the number of screens showing the film decreasing over the weeks, the numbers continued to be up. With the fervor of the masses, it is standing at an astonishing figure of 150 crores so far.

Non desi movie which gave a huge competition in the market the past few weeks is the movie Captain Marvel. The female lead superhero movie stood out for its massive openings next only to Avengers infinity wars. The film released on march8, 2019. It amassed a wholesome of 75 crores in India so far. Not to forget here is the fact that the release of Captain Marvel did affect the box office collections of the Gully Boy to name a few.The Bollywood movies here after are to take a cue from this trend and, keep in sight the release and influence of Hollywood movies at the box office collections of the regional movies.
