Zareen Khan At Lakme Fashion Week: It Took So Long To Understand The Potential Of Plus-Size Model

Zareen Khan, the Hate Story 3 actress has doubled in weight 100 kg than now, as she works hard to be fit and fine just like everyone. But, she believes there is no harm in being plus size, as long as it does not affect a person’s health.

Recently, she snapped at the Lakme Fashion Week’s plus-size show where she judged the show with fashion designer Narendra Kumar, said “I wonder why it has taken such a long time in our country to understand or look at the potential of plus-size models. So what if they are plus-size, they are confident and have equal enthusiasm for life.”

She further said: “the show reminded her of her school days as she used to struggle to find fashionable clothes in the plus-size category.” She feels that fashion needs to be general and said, “There were not many options when I tried to buy clothes at that time. Whether I liked it or not, I really had no choice. The fashion show is a boost for people of big size. I don’t think there is any harm in being plus-size as long as you are fit internally.”

However, she also shared some pictures of her from the show:

She captioned the image as: Kudos to the spirit and enthusiasm of all the models that showed up in large numbers today. For me , all of u r winners. Felt so overwhelmed and nostalgic since I’ve myself been a plus size person once upon a time.  Cheers to @allplussize @lakmefashionwk @narendrakumarahmed & @jaspreetchandok for taking this amazing initiative of celebrating fashion for plus size ppl and not making them feel like an outcast anymore. ♥

Well, she stepped into the industry from Salman Khan’s film and regarding that she said, ““Today if people know me it is because of Veer, even if the movie did not do well. It is because I was paired opposite Salman Khan that today people know me. So, ‘Veer’ in spite of not doing well, will be very dear to my heart because it was my first film.”
