Four Indian Army soldiers martyred in Ceasefire violations by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri. Captain Kapil Kundu (age 23), Rifleman Ramavatar (age 28), Rifleman Shubham Singh (age 22), and Havildar Roshan Lal (age 42) laid down their lives in the cowardly act of Pakistan.

Captain Kapil was just 22 and was to come home the next day to give surprise to his mother and sisters. Who had thought that the brave son of our country would return to home to celebrate his 23rd Birthday wrapped in Tiranga?

His Facebook Profile read, “Life should be big instead of being long.” And he actually lived by his words.

Our hearts shrank as the emotionally distraught sister of Captain Kapil Kundu clung on to the coffin of the martyred officer at the Palam Air Base. “Bhai, Bhai, Bhai…,” was all she could utter after seeing the mortal remains of his brother.

“If I had another son, I would have sent him to the army too. Had my son lived for another 15-20 years, he would have done more for his nation,” said Sunita Kundu, the mother of Captain Kundu.

The grieving mother said, “Kapil always told me, an officer’s mother do not cry.”

The proud mother’s heart and mind are now filled with anger and rage after losing her young son.

“We urge the government to conduct a surgical strike on Pakistan and avenge such incidents. Had my son lived another 15-20 years, he would have done more for his nation. I believe his life will not go waste,” Sunita Kundu said fighting back her tears.

We can never understand the pain and agony of the grieving mother and the sisters.

We can never pay them back for the sacrifices they have made for us as a nation.

In last one month, there have been more than 130 so called Ceasefire Violations by Pakistan Army. It is highest in a month since 2003. Are we really in a condition to lose Our Young Men on a daily basis ???
