Let’s be truthful, we have all missed school as well as college for a variety of reasons – sometimes bunks, sometimes lame excuses or sometimes due to health concerns. It’s at all not possible for a person to attend school without missing a day of school, or so we imagine.

Enter GV Vinoth Kumar – he hasn’t missed school or college for 17 years straight! Currently some of you may believe that this is uncharacteristic, however for Kumar, it was linked to uphill struggle and strength of mind.

As per a report by media, after bagging a certification for complete attendance by his educational institution when he completed his 12th, he got a new thought of hitting a novel world record for the same.

The report said that Vinoth Kumar made it a point to be present at college in spite of illness, bad weather conditions, and a lot of other barriers. Nothing transformed his mind, not once!

While talking to media people, Vinoth Kumar stated, “My parents motivated me a lot. They were the ones who told me that I should go to school every day. My father, who is also a teacher, used to drop me at school every day.”

But with this objective to hit a record appears fear of missing out and Vinod was not immune to it. “I feel bad when my friends go on trips without me and come back with great stories.”

He wishes to accomplish19 years of ideal attendance with the aim to hit a global record.
