‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ actress Saumya Tandon who recently embraced motherhood escaped a major fire mishap which happened on February 21 night at her house. Saumya has got a few minor injuries on her palm and she is safe now.

The actress took to her Twitter handle and informed the fans about the mishap happened in mid-night. According to reports in the media, the actress woke up in the middle of the night and saw fire in her room. She along with her nanny managed to douse it off just in time.

Saumya in a series of tweets wrote that “Had fire in my house. Lessons learnt 1. Never sleep with liquid mosquito replant next to your bed especially if it’s over, take it off the switch 2. Never have loose connection things plugged in 3. Learn to use fire extinguishers infact buy n keep it at home now”.

And her another tweet reads, “Yes by God’s grace all well, we are all safe no major injuries. It could have been worse, we were lucky.”

Saumya becomes a mother of a baby boy and named him Miraan Tandon Singh which was suggested by one of her social media followers.

Sharing the story behind choosing this name Saumya had told TOI.com, ” The baby’s name is Miraan Tandon Singh. The idea came from a girl who sent me a direct message on Instagram, suggesting Miran as a name. I really liked the name but I googled and found out it’s a girl’s name which means calm. So I added one more ‘A’ and made it Miraan, which some sources say means princely in Hindi.”

The actress exchanged the wedding vows with banker Saurabh Devendra Singh in December 2016. Saumya and Saurabh have dated each other for 10 years before walking down the aisle.
