The talk show host and Bollywood actress Pooja Bedi is engaged to beau Maneck Contractor and the pictures are making headlines. The 48-year-old actress was earlier married to Farhan Furniturewala and after a long gap of 16 years, she is engaged to Maneck.

She shared this happy news and wrote a heartwarming note “I’m engaged. The love of my life proposed to me in a hot air balloon, hundreds of feet high up in the sky! As he slipped an exquisite ring onto my fingers, my eyes filled with tears.”

Pooja, further shared how it took her 16 years to find love again. She wrote, “It’s been 16 years since I got divorced and emotionally it’s been such a roller coaster. Each and every relationship that I’ve been in since has added so many dimensions and color to my life. Most people look back at their past and are filled with regret or pain. I look back with so much gratitude, for good times shared and also, most importantly for teaching me what I don’t want or will not accept.”

She revealed the entire story of her happiness, “Maneck and I have known each other since our boarding-school days. He was three years my senior. Though we weren’t that familiar with each other back then, we’ve always had common friends. Last year, he posted about his new venture in Goa on a chat group, and I went there to review it. That was how we reconnected.”

She shared, “I grew up in times where the word “compromise” was integral to relationships and it was mainly women who bent and even broke just to hold onto their marriages. I always chose to want my life and relationships to be empowering to both individuals. I felt it so important to recognize that people enter each others’ lives at various stages to add to their respective journeys. When energies are no longer in sync, paths diverge and it’s so important to recognize that the way forward is to look back with a smile and ahead with excitement.”
