Saurabh Chaudhary Wins Gold In Junior Championship, Makes Our Country Proud

Saurabh Chaudhary won the individual gold medal in 10m air pistol event at the 28th Meeting of Shooting Hopes junior international championship. He shot 245.4 in the finals to win the best prize in front of the Russian duo of Aleksandr Kondrashin (240.0) and Anton Arisarkhov (219.1). Arjun Singh Cheema completed fourth with 195.7.

The youngster Manu Bhaker included two group gold medals in her kitty, winning the best prizes in ladies’ 25m gun and 10m gun. Bhaker, be that as it may, had to be contended with the fourth place in the 25m individual pistol event in the wake of scoring 23. Arunima Gaur was seventh.

For the team gold, Bhaker shot 584, Arunima 567 and Muskan 564.

Not just Saurabh, another athlete Hima Das too made a victory with her achievement. The whole country is cheering for her as she created history. Hima became the first Indian woman to win the country’s first gold medal at any track event in a World Championship. Das had a terrific win at IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships and gained the top spot in the women’s 400m final race on the third day of competitions.

Hima who is just 18-year-old couldn’t hold back her tears as she stood up on the top of the podium, proudly, singing the national anthem.

Hima also expressed her happiness and said, “I am very happy to secure a gold medal for India. I would like to thank my coaches and my parents. They are the powers behind my win.”

Hima was very proud of her achievement and said, “Bringing a medal for the country is the biggest achievement and that is why I am very happy. I am very proud to give this gift to the people of India.”

Hima thanked her parents and coaches for their support and guidance and expressed her gratitude towards people from India for showering their blessings.
