Tamannaah Bhatia is Reportedly Charging Rs 50 Lakhs For A 10-Minute Performance At IPL Opening Ceremony

Indian Premier League is going to kickstart today at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai with its Season 11 and the most exciting part, the opening ceremony will also be held the same day. A number of celebrities are gearing up for the day to amaze the audience with their performances.

Baahubali actress Tamannaah Bhatia will also be performing at the opening ceremony and reportedly, she has charged a hefty amount of Rs 50 Lakhs for performing at the ceremony which is limited to just 10 minutes.

Tamannaah will reportedly share the stage with choreographer-filmmaker-actor Prabhu Deva on Saturday evening at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Sources have revealed that Shiamak Davar has choreographed Tamannaah dance sequence, which is set to a medley of four songs.

Tamannaah seemed quite excited and nervous at the same time for her performance, “Before this, I have never performed for a sports event and of course, when you are on a stage there is a certain feeling of nervousness and excitement. As a performer, the feeling to perform in a stadium and to feel the energy of the audience will be completely different. I am excited because there is no better sports event than IPL to perform for. We are all crazy about cricket and it’s the opening night.”

She told her supporting to be Chennai Super Kings. “Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad feel like my own because I belong to all these cities. This time, my performance is going to be on four songs in four languages. There is Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and a Hindi song. So it goes out to pretty much the whole of India,” she added.

Apart from Tamannaah, a number of superstars are going to perform including Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Hrithik Roshan. Ranveer Singh, who was reportedly going to charge Rs 5 crores could not perform at the ceremony due to his back injury. While Parineeti also refused as she is busy shooting for her film, Namastey England.

IPL 2018 will witness its first match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at 5 pm on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium.
