DID Fame Jay Bhanushali Talks About His Adopted Kids, Says They Call Him ‘Dadda’

Jay Bhanushali, who rose to fame with Star Plus’ hit show ‘Kayamath‘ very rarely get clicked with his two adopted kids, a girl and a boy, as the actor doesn’t like to blow trumpets on doing a good deed. Jay along with his wife Mahhi Vij adopted Mahhi’s caretaker’s kids and are taking care of the two’s health and education for a while.

The actor got popular as an anchor after the popular dance reality show, Dance India Dance. Now, Jay has returned as the host for DID Li’l Masters and he is undoubtedly one of the most popular and loved host on the small screen.

His adopted kids, whom he calls his ‘godchildren’ are with him since 3-4 years and the actor gets uncomfortable while talking about him. He says, “They are with me for the last 3-4 years and I don’t really talk about them a lot because I really believe that when you do a good deed, there is no need to blow the trumpet because then that deed is of no use.”

He added, “I don’t feel uncomfortable talking about them as they are very close to me and I don’t want them to know that I am taking care of them. They call me ‘dadda’ and call their real father ‘papa’.

On being asked about how excited he is to make a comeback on DID, he says, “It feels great. DID is my baby. It is said that first baby is always precious. I started my career as a host with DID and it feels nice to be back on the same stage. Moreover, kids’ reality shows are my favourite, I always say yes to those shows without even listening to the concept. I like kids’ shows because of who I am and not my status.”

Mithun Chakraborty, who had been a part of the DID franchise will not be seen in this season. To this, Jay replied, “I always miss Dada. I thought Dada would be there when I signed the show but unfortunately, he won’t be a part of this show. I hope he joins us for a couple of episodes though so that our banter can go on. My bond with him is special, I still remember he told me in our very first episode that ‘Jay, we are Tom and Jerry in the show’”.
