Later, he washed the feet of the worker there and felicitated them.

While talking about this year’s Kumbh, PM addressed that the Kumbh Mela was not only about religious gathering but also to send a social message all over India about the Cleanliness.

PM Modi retorted, “It was a big responsibility to keep clean an area where 20-22 crore people had gathered. You have proved there is nothing impossible in the world. The sanitation workers kept doing their work without any recognition and praise”.

Talking about washing the feet of the sanitation workers, he said that this special moment will stay with me forever. He also lauded the Namami Gange mission who cleaned the holy river. “I’ve never seen a cleaner Ganga previously and it has been because of Namami Gange project,” he said.

Kumbh Mela will soon end on 4th March 2019.
