Rai and his family are posted in Colaba’s Navy Nagar and they took a local from Churchgate to reach Dadar and went on the wrong platform. Speaking to Mid Day, the army man said, “While we all were waiting for the train, a passenger on the platform informed us about taking a fast train from platform number 4 and getting off at Neral. Upon hearing this, we all hurried towards platform 4 after which the train had arrived.”

The boys named Ismail Siraj Sheikh and Mohammed Taufiq Tayyeb Sheikh saved the young girl Saisha. Speaking to mid-day, Rupesh said, “I have no words to thank those angels. They literally snatched my daughter from the jaws of death.” Although a few minutes later, train’s chain was pulled and stopped by the motorman at Matunga railway station.

Later, the Ismail and Taufiq were awarded by the army man and Dadar GRP family who were glad that they could save the girl.
