On Occasion Of Eid-al Adha, Instead Of Goats, Lucknow People Are Cutting Cakes

Today the Muslim community is celebrating Eid al-Adha all over the world. The occasion marks the sacrifice a goat or a sheep and is also known as Bakrid. But, this year the celebration has got a twist. However, people in Lucknow are celebrating the festivals in a very lovely way this year.

In Lucknow, a bakery has avoided the traditional path and is selling cakes with pictures of goats printed on it. Well, on the occasion a buyer also talked to ANI and in the statement said, “The custom of sacrificing an animal on Bakrid is not right. I appeal to everyone to celebrate the festival by cutting a cake instead of an animal.”

The bench of Justice Rajiv Sharma and Justice Manoj Tiwari ordered, “no animal slaughters is allowed in the open or in public and must be done in slaughterhouses only. ” The court added, “the blood and offal should not flow into open drains and nullahs. The order is directed towards one and all irrespective of any religion.”
