After the victory of ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, well known star Akshay Kumar hinted that he will shortly be coming out with ‘Toilet 2’.
“Time to get ready for the next Blockbuster — Mission #Toilet2! Iss baar badlega poora desh (The whole country will change this time)! Coming soon,” Akshay tweeted on June 30.
Akshay also shared a short video in which he stated: “Toilet toh bana liya, par katha abhi bhi baaki hai. Main aa raha hun leke ‘Toilet’ part 2 bahut jald.
This tweet by the super star turned many heads and resulted into a rumour that the second part of the Bollywood star’s hit movie is under way.
Toilet- Ek Prem Katha, which hit theatres during August 2017 remained a blockbuster and gathered praises from all sides.
But the reliable sources stated that the tweet is actually a part of a promotional drive for a toilet cleaner brand that Akshay will shortly promote.
A source close to the actor wishing to stay unnamed, stated, “It has been misunderstood by everyone. Akshay was referring to an ad for a Toilet cleaner brand that will be out soon. It was a teaser alright, but who would have thought that it would lead to such speculation about the sequel. There is absolutely no plan to make a sequel to Toilet Ek Prem Katha, at least nothing even remotely in the pipeline.”
And it turned out to be true that Akshay was promoting a brand.
He shared another video today endorsing Harpic and wrote, “Ab har ghar mein banegi, ek saaf Toilet ki pratha! Join me in the Clean India mission with #Harpic to make clean and hygienic toilets a reality for all! #HarGharSwachh”
Akshay Kumar, who is presently enjoying vacation with his sweet family on St Barth’s Islands in the Caribbean sea, could not be reached for a statement.
‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ was produced by Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Entertainment via its combined enterprise Plan C Studios.
The film got rolled out in 22 European nations alone and more than 50 countries all over the globe, gathering a convivial reaction not only from the India but internationally.
‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ was also released in mainland China in Mandarin as ‘Toilet Hero’ earlier this month in more than 12,000 theatres.
