The most liked on screen couple of Bollywood from the current generation ‘Alia-Varun’ have given many hits together. And it seems like they are once again in demand by the filmmakers. They both worked together in Shashank Khaitan’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). There are chances that the filmmaker will once again bring this jodi onscreen with his next film ‘Ranbhoomi’.

The director of this movie said about casting Varun and Alia for his next film “We have not spoken about Rannbhoomi because I’ve been busy with Dhadak. Once we are clearer about the script and sure of the casting ourselves, we will be in a position to reveal more. It’s a film we have dreamt of, so we won’t hide the leading lady.”

Talking about whether is he interested in making a third film of the ‘Dulhania’ franchise he said “Let’s see after Rannbhoomi. I’d be excited to return to the Dulhania franchise which we built from scratch and are so proud of.” Shashank Khaitan has recently completed work with ‘Dhadak’ that was released on 20 th July. The film also launched two B-town star kids ‘Janhvi Kapoor’, daughter of Sridevi an ‘Ishaan Khatter’, half brother of Shahid Kapoor in the film industry.

The hit jodi of Alia and Varun is also paired in Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’ which is a multistarrer movie. They are working with Sanjay Dutt and Mahuri Dixit in a film for the very first time. Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha and Ashiqui star Aditya Roy Kapur are also playing prominent role in this film. Talking about Varun, he has underwent a serious transformation for Kalank that is scheduled for its release on 19 April 2019. Whereas Alia is becoming the leading lady of Bollywood slowly and steadily with her spectacular performances in every movie. Her role in ‘Raazi’ has already made her one of the top actresses of Bollywood.
