Yeh Hai Mohabbatein Fame Sangram Singh Quits Acting For His Wife

Sangram Singh, popularly known as Ashok Khanna from Star Plus’ super hit daily soap, ‘Ye hai mohabbatein’ is bidding goodbye to the show after gaining immense popularity as the antagonist of the show. It’s a sad news for his fans but the reason will surely bring a smile to your face.

The actor has decided to quit Television industry and his acting career for his beloved wife who works in Norway, to settle with her at her workplace. Sangram married in an arranged setup to Gurkiran Kaur, VAT consultant in Norway, in a private ceremony in Amritsar, 3 months ago.

His character has been missing from the show for quite some time. A source informed, “Three months ago, Sangram got married in Amritsar. It was an arranged marriage. His wife Gurkiran Kaur is a VAT consultant in Norway, so he has decided to move there. The couple will be in Punjab for a few months before they finally relocate to Norway.”

Sangram’s co-actor from the show, Aly Goni said, “I am going to really miss him. Sangram has many of his family members settled in Norway and he wants to join them in the family business. He is a very good friend and we have already made plans to visit him for New Years.”

Earlier, Sangram speaking about her marriage as said, “I am getting married on December 25 to Gurkiran Kaur. It’s an arranged marriage set up but I don’t think I could have found a better life partner.”

He had further added, “Our families knew each other for a very long time. They felt we could be ideal life partners and got us introduced. I guess they were right for we instantly connected and recently got engaged also. All my friends have been quite surprised with the development (laughs). Gurkiran is from Norway and works as a VAT consultant.”

Apart from TV shows, Sangram Singh has featured in some Punjabi films, one of which is Saadi Wakhri Hai Shaan in 2012.
