Sidharth Malhotra is ‘Irritated’ with Akshay Kumar, says ‘Should Have Respected Others’

There’s a lot of shuffling happening around in the Bollywood Industry. Because of Padmaavat controversy, a lot of films have been suffering. Padmaavat and Padman were to have a clash on 25 Jan. However, after sharing a word with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Akshay Kumar agreed to cooperate and decided to postpone his film to 9 Feb.

However, Sidharth Malhotra is not at all happy with Akshay Kumar, as the former’s film ‘Aiyaary’ is also scheduled for Feb 9.

Earlier ‘Aiyaary’ which has a patriotic vibe was to be released on January 25 to take advantage of the long Republic Day weekend. And it was clashing with Padman.

And when Padmaavat shifted it’s date to January 25, Aiyaary was shifted to Feb 9 to avoid the clash leaving Padman and Padmaavat to fight. And now, again Akshay shifted the film to Feb 9 again making it difficult for Aiyaary.

Sidharth told IANS: “Yes, it irritates, but now it’s too late. What can we do now? Look, we announced the date first. When ‘PadMan’ makers unveiled their release date, we were gracious enough to shift our release date to avoid the clash.

“This situation could have resolved earlier, people could have stuck to their dates, respecting others’ space. I was not expecting the makers of ‘Pad Man’ to release their film with us, especially the second time. We thought we will get a solo release.

“See, eventually the fate of the film will speak for itself. We are confident about our film, it has its audience. Now that we cannot change anything, we can hope for the best.”
